| The
Women of Faith public forums are a free feature of the
Women of Faith website. They are made available as an
online environment for encouraging and uplifting discussions
about Women of Faith, the conferences and resources.
Think
Before You Type
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue
is the law of kindness. Proverbs 31:26
You are welcome to express your opinions freely. However, it is not in our nature to be critical of others, and we reserve the right to remove posts that we deem to be disparaging. If you have a concern that you need to communicate to someone at Women of Faith directly, send an email to WOFPublicist@womenoffaith.com.
Please note that comments you post are
considered available for public consumption. Public
means anyone with Internet access, not just other
Women of Faith. Even men occasionally read and contribute
to our discussions. Please remember that we are communicating
without the benefit of body language and voice inflection.
Words can sometimes be misinterpreted. Others may
quote your remarks. While you’re at it…
In your use of these forums, you agree
that you will not post any information which is vulgar,
harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others
privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.
Stay Safe
We strongly recommend that you do NOT
put your address or telephone number on a public message
board. While groups of WOF Message Boarders/chatters
frequently make plans to meet at conferences and other
get-togethers (and apparently have a great time!),
please use caution. You don’t know who might
be out there eavesdropping on your conversation. That
being said…
Don’t Be Afraid to Join
In
If you're new to our online family,
taking that first step to post to a public message
board or on our chat can sometimes seem intimidating.
Don't be afraid to jump in. We have a very supportive
community that serves up heavy doses of support, encouragement
and enthusiasm. But if you’re not quite ready
to speak up…
Feel Free Just to Listen
You’re welcome to just listen
in, read messages and enjoy the lively conversation.
One hint: If you do decide to start talking…
No "Bumping" Please
Please do not post random replies in
order to "bump" yours or another to the
top. Bumps are subject to deletion.
Please Don’t SHOUT
Typing in all capital letters LIKE THIS
is considered SHOUTING online. Some find it rude,
and it is difficult to read. Many people don’t
realize this, so if you read a post that’s a
little too loud, don’t take offense. In fact,
people may occasionally say or do other things you
don’t agree with, so please…
Agree to Disagree
We are part of God’s family, and
like any family there will be times when we don’t
agree. Please be sensitive to others’ beliefs.
You are certainly free to express your opinion but
please keep your comments relevant to the subject
being discussed and not about the person who offers
a differing opinion than your own. And while we value
your opinion…
Once Is Enough
Please do not post the same message
more than once on a message board. Duplicate messages
can be frustrating for other visitors, especially
for those whose time and energy is limited. We ask
that you keep all posts to a maximum of 5 pages. After
5 pages, they are subject to be deleted without notice.
Should a topic go on for more than 5 pages, please
continue with another post.
No Advertising - Means No Advertising.
Please don't polute the boards with
advertising of any sort. Posts containing advertising
are subject to automatic removal and suspension of
message board membership.
Respect Copyrighted Information
Information that is copyrighted or owned
by any individual or entity other than the person
posting should not be posted on the message board
without the consent of the owner. Including the copyright
information from a book or Web site is not sufficient.
'Consent of the owner' means specific, written permission
to post the information on the Women of Faith Message
Board. We appreciate that devotions or messages from
other organizations may bless you, and you want to
share them with others - but copying them into a post
is not the way to do that. If this occurs, the individual
posting the information shall be held solely responsible.
Women of Faith, Inc. shall not be held responsible
for posted information that may violate copyright
law. And speaking of legal matters...
One Screen Name/ Account Per
Person Please
Please only sign up for ONE message
board account. The use of multiple screen names is
against our policy. If you have more than one account,
please email messageboard@womenoffaith.com
to have the others removed. We reserve the right to
delete subsequent accounts for a single user. We trust
our members - therefore we ask that you not email
any "suspicions" in regards to members with
multiple accounts.
Time To Go?
If you wish to deactivate your membership
with the message board, please send an email to messageboard@womenoffaith.com
and we will do so in a timely manner. Please note,
all posts containing your username will remain on
the board - but your account will be locked and you
will be unable to post further messages. Please Note:
We are unable to reinstate accounts once they have
been closed.
The Fine Print
Opinions expressed on this Message Board
do not necessarily represent those of Women of Faith,
Inc. or Thomas Nelson, Inc. Women of Faith is not
responsible for and does not guarantee the accuracy
of statements posted on the Message Board.
Women of Faith reserves the right to
remove a post that does not relate to the topic being
discussed in the folder or on a specific forum. Women
of Faith also reserves the right to prohibit or delete
messages that are thought to violate applicable law
or that may be harmful or hurtful to others. That
said, Women of Faith does not have the practical ability
to restrict conduct or communications that might violate
Women of Faith Guidelines prior to transmission on
the Internet, nor can we ensure prompt removal of
offending message board posts. We will do our best
to monitor the message board and to enforce these
message board guidelines.
Speaking of enforcement, though we hate
to go to this extreme, should you violate these guidelines
or those of the Official User Agreement, we reserve
the right to delete your postings and/or permanently
remove your ability to post to our Message Board.
Women of Faith, Inc. reserves the right
to modify these Terms of Use at any time and you agree
to be bound by such modifications through your use
of Women of Faith’s site.
