Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Several friends and I are volunteering together- will our seats be located together?
A: We can typically place up to 5 volunteers in seats together. Requests can be made at the conference when your volunteer tickets are issued. However, to guarantee that you’ll be seated with one another, you may want to pre-purchase your registrations and then request reimbursement (see Reimbursement Policy).
Q: Where will my seat be located?
A: We make every effort to provide excellent seats for our volunteers, but sometimes we are restricted by a variety of factors, such as building size, total attendance, production issues, etc. If you would like to lock in your seat location ahead of time, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance and have the cost of the ticket reimbursed (see Reimbursement Policy).
Q: When do I receive my complimentary tickets?
A: Product Sales – Tickets are distributed after volunteers have received training at their assigned place of service. This typically occurs just after the doors open.

Arena Team – These volunteers receive their ticket(s) upon arrival. Volunteers may leave the tickets at Will Call for pick up.

Box Mover & Program Bag Distribution Team – These volunteers receive their ticket(s) upon completion of the job. If the volunteer is not attending the conference, the ticket(s) may be left at Will Call for pick up.

Q: I’m coming with others in my group; may I sit with my group?
A: Seating at the Pre-conference is open, so someone in your group can save you a seat and you can join them when the Pre-conference begins. Seating at the Amazing Freedom main conference is reserved. If you want to sit with a group at Amazing Freedom, we recommend that you purchase your tickets with your group in advance, and then request reimbursement for the ticket cost (see Reimbursement Policy).
Q: May I sign up my friends to volunteer?
A: No. Each person must individually register to volunteer. This ensures that they have read and understood their volunteer commitment and responsibilities and have agreed to them. But encourage your friends to register! Make it easy by emailing a friend the Web site address or print the Volunteer Registration Form for them. The form can be mailed or faxed to our office.
Q: I can’t be there for the entire scheduled time, but most of it; may I still volunteer?
A: No. You must be available for the entire scheduled volunteer time
Q: Can I choose where (area of service) I volunteer?
A: In general, yes. However, if you choose Product Sales or Arena Team, volunteer assignments are given at the volunteer meeting. Although we would like to accommodate every request, sometimes it’s just not possible. Your flexibility and cooperation are much appreciated and adds to a more rewarding experience.
Q: What about parking, hotel and travel expenses for volunteers?
A: You are responsible for any parking fees, hotel and travel expenses. For your convenience, our Web site has a link to information regarding, arena parking fees, directions, and hotel accommodations.
Q: Do you need MEN volunteers?
A: Absolutely! the ARENA TEAM and/or BOX MOVER TEAM are both perfect volunteer roles for men. The Box Mover position earns 2 free tickets while the Arena Team position also earns 2 free tickets . . . a great gift for men to give!
Q: How old do you have to be to volunteer?
A: All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Q: What if I must cancel?
A: This is a commitment and we are counting on your participation. If you must cancel, please provide at least two weeks’ notice by phone or email. A 2-week notice is required (in case of emergency, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email).

You may suggest a replacement for your position, however there is no guarantee that person will be accepted in your place. Individuals already on the volunteer waiting list will be given priority when volunteer positions become available.

Q: What about volunteer meals?
A: Volunteers on the Product Sales Team & Arena Team will receive a complimentary box lunch on Friday and Saturday. Otherwise, box lunches are available for purchase by calling 1-888-49-FAITH; or arena concessions stands will be open throughout the event.
Q: May I bring a friend, child or family member with me while volunteering?
A: No. Children and guests may not accompany you to the event. If you have a friend interested in volunteering, please invite them to register as a volunteer online.
Q: How do I go about getting a refund for my registration if I volunteer?
A: When you volunteer, just request a Reimbursement Form at the time tickets are distributed to volunteers. The form must be validated by a WOF staff member. Make sure you follow the required steps – and remember to hang on to your ticket stub! Please click here to read the Reimbursement Policy.
