PROFILE A LOCAL ATTENDEE
Speak to an attendee from your community and experience Women of Faith through her eyes. Some women come reluctantly, some come enthusiastically, and some come with a neighbor or with a large group. Some know God, some are looking for God, and some don’t believe there is a God. Why do they come? How does it impact their lives?
“I came to gain energy, focus and hope. It’s really inspiring.”
Jill Shelley, Attendee, The Oregonian
WOMEN AND STRESS
Women need to be with other women. UCLA published a study that proves women hanging out with other women can actually counteract the kind of stomach-quivering stress most of us experience on a daily basis. Women of Faith provides an environment where women can do just that.
“‘We’re telling women they’re not alone in this journey. There are people who have gone ahead of them and left a map,’ Walsh says. ‘Women are doing far too much and they’re over-committed and over-exhausted. They need a break.’ ”
Sheila Walsh, Women of Faith Speaker, Miami Herald
“So many times you feel alone, like no one knows how you feel…there are thousands of other women here who do.”
Stephanie Cobb, Attendee, Shreveport Times
